  • We know even the suggestion of doing a group can be really scary. Perhaps, you noticed more anxiety in your body just reading this page. Feeling anxious is not a sign that joining the group will cause you harm. It might be a sign that you could get a lot out of it. We want to assure you that our anxiety groups are made up of supportive people who also have anxiety and you are in control of how much you share in the group. ~This might suprise you: you can reveal less in group work because you can benefit from hearing about what other people are working on.

Of course, we have one on one options too. It’s up to you.

  • Your therapist, April, will provide education on anxiety and safety behaviors. We’ll chose some actions to take to practice the techniques we learn between weeks. And we’ll talk about how it is going.

  • You might be picturing an unstructured group, where you have to “open up” about your deepest fears. This isn’t that type of group. Group discussions are focused on talking about the information presented by group leader April and on plans for between-session tasks.
