Cognitive Behavioral Therapist

April is an expert in the field of mental health counseling. She’s been interested in what makes people tick, what makes you, you since childhood. In college she studied Psychology and American Studies on her way to deciding to dedicate her career to helping people connect more to their strengths and to each other. She began training in the mental health field in 2006 & had her first job as a counselor in 2008. Since graduating with her masters in mental health counseling she has been working with clients one-on-one, in group therapy, or in couples therapy. She has a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions, which means she doesn’t just think CBT is the ideal treatment; she is trained specifically in this type of therapy.
